Tiffany Smith

About Me

Lubbock, Texas based watercolor artist and educator, Tiffany Smith, began painting in 2019. Tiffany spends her time observing and sketching the world around her. The unpredictable nature of color mixing with watercolor inspires her to paint flowers, landscapes, and animals in her home studio.

After receiving her teaching degree from Lubbock Christian University, Tiffany spent many years teaching elementary children. In 2022, Tiffany trained to become a certified instructor for Pocket Sketching® and in 2023, as a Nature Journal Educator. Her passion for learning continues through live classes, online classes, art resource books, teaching and traveling. Tiffany captures her subjects quickly with transparent watercolor using a combination of wet on wet and wet on dry washes, loose and defined edges, and ink.

Her artwork won “Best in Show” at the 2023 West Texas Watercolor Society’s Red Show and 2nd place in the amateur division in 2022. She was named Artist of the month in April 2023 by the Texas Tech Museum Shop. Currently her work is on display at the Broadway Contemporary Fine Art Gallery in Lubbock, Texas, the Texas Tech Museum Gift Shop, Premier Autos of Lubbock, West Texas Massage and Jower’s Accounting.
